Financial Aid Assistant

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of the Office of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Assistant provides assistance to students, faculty and administrators of the University answering questions regarding student accounts, general financial aid inquiries, and enrollment and registration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist students with general questions regarding financial aid applications, loans and other forms.
  • Assist students/parents with questions, inquires, or requests regarding financial aid programs and eligibility.
  • Collect general financial aid documents and communicate with students/parents if forms are incomplete or needed.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve problems or make the appropriate referral.
  • Attend workshops and open house events as required.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Educational Requirements

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Financial Aid experience a plus. Experience with Datatel Financial Aid Module a plus. Excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task. Proficient in Excel.
