Multiple options for progressing through the program are available to meet the prospective student’s needs:

The Auerbach School of Occupational Therapy (ASOT) offers a combined BS/MSOT degree. Upon successful completion of the BS portion of the program (125 credits), the student will be awarded a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree and then will continue through the Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy portion of the program. Upon successful completion of the remaining courses (36 credits), the student s will earn a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree (total of 162 credits). Students may transfer into the BSHS program at any level prior to the professional phase of the program.

Students with a completed bachelor's degree in a field of study other than occupational therapy may directly enter the 30-month entry-level master's program (MSOT-93 credits). These students will complete the entire professional program as a graduate student.

ASOT prepares students to become outstanding practitioners in varied health, educational, and community settings. Through close faculty/student interaction, a thoughtful mentoring approach fosters the development of the student's critical analysis, communication, and leadership skills necessary for the delivery of occupational therapy services. ASOT’s academic curriculum includes a significant focus on practice and emphasizes reflective learning by actively doing. The sample program of study portrays a student's progression through the academic program. ASOT faculty work s collaboratively with each student for the promotion and enhancement of learning and skill development strategies which increase  student 's” success in the profession.
