Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
Psychology is a tremendously varied field. Psychologists conduct both basic and applied research, serve as consultants to communities and organizations, diagnose and treat people, and teach future psychologists and other types of students. They test intelligence and personality. Many psychologists work as health care providers. They assess behavioral and mental function and well-being, stepping in to help where appropriate. They study how human beings relate to each other and also to machines, and they work to improve these relationships. And with America undergoing large changes in its population makeup, psychologists bring important knowledge and skills to understanding diverse cultures.

The School of Professional Psychology offers a Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology through two different formats:
- A day format composed of seven, six-week sessions, and
- An adult format (AAP Program) where Psychology courses are offered on weekends in six-week sessions.
Students who matriculate through the AAP format may complete their general requirements on the weekend or in evening sessions. The curriculum and requirements are identical for both formats.
Within this major, students are exposed to ways in which Psychology explores and explains human behavior with a particular focus on how Psychology is applied. Graduates find that they have an articulated understanding of the human experience and are amply prepared for a variety of career options, as well as advanced training at the graduate level.
